Arrival in Havana

Welcome to Havana! Upon arrival, transfer to your elegant hotel in the oceanfront Vedado district, considered the Beverly Hills of Havana. (D)

DAY 2
Havana

Explore Old Havana to admire the ongoing restoration transforming this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Old City plazas, gleaming colonial places, the Rum Museum and other landmarks.(B,L,D)

DAY 3
Havana

Visit Finca Vigia “Lookout Farm,” which was Ernest Hemingway’s winter home from 1939 to 1960 and see the author’s 9,000 volume library, yacht and typewriter. In the afternoon, visit the picturesque fishing village, which Hemingway used as the background for The Old Man and the Sea. Next, visit the home, studio and community art project of José Rodríguez Fuster, a native Cuban artist who has transformed his home and the adjoining area to an interesting art project known as Fusterlandia. DAY 4
Havana

Meet with members of the Havana Compas Dance Company which combines the essence of Spanish dance with Afro-Cuban rhythms. Next, we visit the Muraleando Art Project where Cuban and international artists have used almost every available wall as canvas for hundreds of beautiful painted murals. After lunch, travel to the port of Havana and visit the famous Almacenes de San Jose crafts market. (B,L,D)

Depart Havana

Transfer to the airport for your return flight. (B)
