Explore the Enchanting Usa Rainforest Embark on an easy walk through the Usa rainforest, located just one kilometer from Arumeru Lodge. Immerse yourself in the lush greenery and natural springs that provide vital drinking water for the region. Accompanied by a knowledgeable ranger, encounter fascinating wildlife such as colobus monkeys, velvet and blue monkeys, and a variety of bird species. By joining this tour, you actively contribute to the protection and regeneration of the forest, supporting the employment of local rangers. As an additional highlight, you can even participate in planting an indigenous tree seedling that will be nurtured at the lodge.

Village Walk
Connect with the Vibrant Usa Village Community Embark on a 30-minute walk from the lodge to Usa village and immerse yourself in the local culture. Arumeru Lodge has established partnerships with the village council, actively supporting initiatives such as the Usa River Children Center, which provides aid to orphans. For each guest staying at the lodge, Arumeru Lodge donates $5 to the center. During the village walk, you will have the opportunity to visit the village dispensary, which has received financial support from the lodge since 2011. You can also learn about and support a local anti-malaria program and visit the rehabilitation center for handicapped children.

Organic Coffee Walk
Discover the Secrets of Organic Coffee Farming Experience the inspiring organic coffee project near Arumeru Lodge in Nkoaranga. Join a guided tour that takes you to the heart of this community-driven initiative, where 25 families produce high-quality organic coffee. Learn about their innovative practices and the unique coffee variety that can be grown without the use of pesticides. The beans are purchased at fair trade prices by “Wild Tracks” and roasted in a small facility. Arumeru Lodge proudly serves this delicious coffee and offers it for sale in their gift shop, supporting the sustainability of this remarkable project.

Mulala
Hiking on the Slopes of Mount Meru, embark on a memorable adventure just a short drive from Arumeru Lodge. Visit the Agape women’s group, dedicated to farming on the slopes of Mount Meru. Experience a farm-to-table lunch, savoring the flavors of locally grown produce. Then, embark on a captivating 2-hour hiking tour to the top of Lemala Hill, where panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru await. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery and gain a deeper connection with the natural wonders of Tanzania.

Lake Duluti
Serenity Amidst Nature’s Beauty Journey to the nearby village of Tengeru and discover the tranquil Lake Duluti, nestled within a small crater surrounded by lush rain forest vegetation.
