Day 1: Arrival in Lima
Upon arrival, a host will meet and assist you in transferring to the hotel.

Day 2: Lima
Begin your adventure in Peru with a city tour of Lima. Start in Lima’s historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage site, visiting the lovely Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, San Francisco Church and other historic Then drive along the exclusive residential areas in modern Lima. Continue to the Larco Museum, the world’s largest private collection of pre-Colombian Peruvian art, with more than 45,000 pieces. It features the finest gold and silver collection from Ancient Peru and the famous erotic archaeological collection. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Lima
Spend the day learning about how the Jewish community flourished in Peru. You will start with the visit to an excellent kosher deli that offers a range of different products such as kosher meats, cheeses, olives, cereals and crackers as well as condiments, chocolates and other snacks. Continue with the visit of the Jewish School of Lima “Leon Pinelo”, where some 400 students from the community attend, ranging from kindergarten to high school age, there, you will be able to tour different areas of the school including the synagogue and the Hebrew reading room. Day 4: Lima | Cusco
Early morning transfer from the hotel to the airport for a short but spectacular flight over the snowcapped Andes to the oldest inhabited city in the hemisphere, Cusco, at an elevation of 11,440 feet. Upon arrival, a host will meet and assist you in transferring to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax and acclimate to the altitude. (B,L,D)

Day 5: Cusco
Tour Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire, the oldest continuously inhabited city in the western hemisphere and a UNESCO World Heritage site. See a delightful combination of Inca and colonial architecture as you visit important landmarks such us Cusco’s Cathedral, Santo Domingo Church, Plaza de Armas and Koricancha – “The Temple of the Sun.” Visit Cusco artisan neighborhood, where you see local artisans at work along with narrow streets, charming small homes, galleries and craft workshops. Day 6: Cusco | Sacred Valley | Cusco
Excursion through the fertile countryside of the Urubamba Valley to the colonial village of Pisac to its unique Indian Market. During your visit to this bustling marketplace, you will have the opportunity to bargain with the artisans and indigenous traders for a variety of products. Continue to the Ollantaytambo archaeological complex, which the Incas built as a fort that included a temple, agricultural terraces, and an urban area. Then visit the town of Ollantaytambo is called a “Living Inca Town” since the inhabitants maintain very old practices and customs. (B,L,D)

Day 7: Cusco | Machu Picchu | Cusco
Morning excursion to Machu Picchu, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy your scenic train ride this morning through the Sacred Valley of Urubamba to this famous site, also known as the “Lost City of the Incas.” Perched 8,200 feet above the valley, it was hidden by mountains and semi-tropical jungles for 400 years until discovered by Hiram Bingham of Yale University in 1911. Archaeologists believe that the Inca “Virgins of the Sun” took refuge from the Spanish Conquistadors here. Guided tour of the ruins upon arrival. (B,L,D)

Day 8: Cusco | Departure from Lima
Tour the city Cusco, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit Sacsayhuaman fortress, an imposing example of Inca military architecture. It was built using colossal limestone blocks using a variety of interlocking shapes. The estimated weight of some stones is over 120 tons. Continue to other nearby archaeological sites including an Incan military lookout point. Transfer to the airport for your departure to Lima, where you can connect to your international flight. (B,L)
