Day 1: Arrival in San Jose
Upon arrival, meet and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: San Jose | Corcovado
Morning flight to Palmar Sur*. Upon arrival, transfer by boat to Corcovado, described by National Geographic as “the most biologically intense place on earth”. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Corcovado
Walk around Corcovado National Park with its multitude of species, very tall trees, spectacular buttresses, large woody lianas and abundant herbaceous vines. Perhaps you’ll spot some of Costa Rica’s shyest and most endangered inhabitants here; Baird’s tapirs, jaguars, scarlet macaws, harpy eagles, red-backed squirrel monkeys and white-lipped peccaries. Day 4: Corcovado
Morning departure to the Caño Island Biological Reserve; see the turquoise blue waters and colorful coral reefs in one of the best places for snorkeling in the South Pacific. This magical trip is often enhanced by the sight of whales, dolphins, and other marine animals, many of which are in danger of extinction. (B,L,D)
Day 5: Corcovado | Manuel Antonio
Depart Corcovado by boat and then continue by land to the Manuel Antonio area. After checking in to your hotel, relax at the pool, see the incredible views, or take advantage of the many recreational facilities. (B)
Day 6: Manuel Antonio
Morning visit to Manuel Antonio National Park, with its expansive white sand beaches backed by evergreen forests that grow right up to the high tide line. Along the walk, discover the different habitats including mangrove swamps, 109 species of mammals and 184 species of birds, beach vegetation and lagoons. You’ll observe several species of monkeys, iguanas, birds and possibly even the three-toed sloth. After the hike, remain on your own to enjoy the beach and sunbathe. The afternoon is at leisure. (B)
Day 7: Manuel Antonio
Today enjoy a bicycle tour of the small rural town. Visit the local school which has made huge efforts in sustainability and is a vital part of communities across the country. Then continue to a small farm for a swim in a waterfall and a typical local snack of corn tortillas. (B,L)
Day 8: Manuel Antonio | San Jose – Departure
Transfer to the airport for your return flight. (B)
