Friday: Stockholm

Welcome to Stockholm! Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Saturday: Stockholm

Morning city tour of Stockholm, including Fjällgatan, a street with spectacular views of the city, which is spread out over 14 islands connected with bridges and Gamla Stan, the old city with its narrow cobbled-stoned lanes, charming small squares, medieval buildings including the Royal Palace. The afternoon is yours at leisure. (B)

Optional: Tour City Hall, the place of the annual Nobel Prize banquet, and the fascinating Vasa Ship Museum a the unique wooden warship, which sank and was salvaged intact 333 years later.

Sunday: Stockholm | Hamar

After breakfast, transfer by coach to Norway, passing through open landscapes, dense forests and glittering lakes. Stop in the city of Karlstad, located beautifully on the shores of Lake Värnern, the largest of Sweden’s lakes. After crossing the border into Norway, continue to Hamar, located right next to Lake Mjøsa, Norway’s largest Lake. (B,D)

Monday: Hamar | Lom | Geiranger

Morning departure to Geiranger with a stop in Lillehammer, where the 1994 Winter Olympics took place and then in Lom, to see the amazing wooden stave church dating back to the 12th century. Continue on a picturesque descent around hairpin curves to Geiranger. (B,D)

Tuesday: Geiranger | Balestrand

Morning cruise on the Geiranger Fjord, a UNESCO World Heritage site; see the impressive waterfalls ”the Bridal Veil” and “the Seven Sisters”. Continue to Briksdal Glacier. The last part of the journey up to the glacier will be in the motorized open troll cars, allowing you to enjoy the full panoramic view. Continue to Balestrand via Gaular Mountain National Park, with its breathtaking views of mountains and fjords. In the late afternoon, you will reach the beautiful resort Balestrand located on the shores of the fjord and surrounded by high mountains, one of the most beautiful place on earth. (B,D)

Wednesday: Balestrand | Bergen

Start your day with a 2-hour mini-cruise of the Sogne Fjord, the longest and deepest fjord in the world, over 120 miles long. Marvel at the landscape of small farms, cascading waterfalls and towering snow-clad mountains, as you sail into the Nærøy Fjord, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Disembark in Flåm and continue the journey with one of the most exceptional rail road trips in the world, the Flam Railway. With breath-taking views at every curve it will take you up the mountain. Thursday: Bergen | Geirlo Area

Orientation tour of Bergen, including the famous open-air fish market, stroll across to Bryggen where the traditional wooden medieval buildings still remain as in the times of the Hanseatic League. Enjoy some free time for shopping and exploring the area. In the early afternoon, continue towards the Hardanger Fjord with its romantic landscape of fruit orchards and rounded mountains. Stop at the impressive Vøringsfoss waterfall with a vertical drop nearly 600 feet, before ascending the Hardanger Mountain Plateau to the Geilo area. (B,D)

Friday: Geilo Area | Oslo

Journey to Oslo, the capital of Norway. In the afternoon, a city tour, which takes you to the Frogner Park with the controversial sculptures of the famous Norwegian Gustav Vigeland. Other highlights of the tour area the Royal Palace, the medieval fortress Akershus, the modern Opera house, the City Hall. The remainder of the day is free to explore the city. (B)

Saturday: Oslo | DFDS Cruise

Your morning is free to continue exploring Oslo on your own or join an optional tour to visit some of the famous maritime museums such as the Viking Ship Museum and the Polar Ship Fram. In the late afternoon transfer to the pier, where you will embark on the DFDS Seaways overnight cruise to Copenhagen through the Oslo Fjord. Dinner on board the cruise is the famous Scandinavian Smorgåsbord buffet. (B,D)

DAY 10
Sunday: Copenhagen

Upon arrival in Copenhagen, disembark and tour the city, including the little Mermaid, the Gefion fountain, the royal residence Amalienborg Palace, and the Christianshavn and Nyhavn districts with their charming canals. The afternoon is yours to enjoy this fairy-tale city on your own. At night, a farewell dinner. (B,D)

DAY 11
Monday: Depart Copenhagen

Transfer to the airport for your return flight. (B)
