Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in San Jose
Upon arrival, meeting and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: San Jose | Arenal
Climb up to the central volcanic mountain range in the northern lowlands of Costa Rica and tour Arenal Volcano. Then visit a famous artisan town, which is the perfect place to find those souvenirs and gifts. During the afternoon, you will visit the world famous Tabacon Hot Springs. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Arenal
Safari float tour on the slow-flowing and mellow Peñas Blancas River, which makes it perfect for wildlife observation. As you float down the river past the rainforest, you may be able to spot monkeys, sloths, iguanas, caimans, and different kinds of tropical birds. Afterwards, tour the Arenal Hanging Bridges, one of the most beautiful environmental friendly projects in the country, abundant with lush vegetation and a large variety of birds and animals. During the walk, discover the rainforest canopy from an unrivaled perspective. (B)

Day 4: Arenal
Day at leisure to explore. Optional tours available to many scenic areas as well as wide range of outdoor adventure activities. (B)

Day 5: Arenal | Manuel Antonio
Transfer to Manuel Antonio on the shores of the Pacific Ocean via the scenic mountain roads. (B)

Day 6: Manuel Antonio
Morning visit to Manuel Antonio National Park, which has one of the most impressive landscapes in the world, with white sand beaches, lush foliage and beautiful coral reefs, as well as large land and marine biodiversity. On your hike you can observe several species of monkeys, iguanas, and birds possibly even the three-toed sloth. After your hike, the rest of the day is yours to continue exploring in the park or to relax at the beach. (B)

Day 7: Manuel Antonio
Enjoy a guided bicycle tour of a small rural town and visit its local school which has made huge efforts in sustainability, the ‘event ballroom,’ and the characterful “pulperia” which is the local convenience store. Continue to a small farm and enjoy a swim in a waterfall as well as a typical local snack of corn tortillas with cheese. (B,L)

Day 8: Manuel Antonio | Departure from San Jose
Transfer to airport for your return flight. (B)
