Day 1: Tokyo | Takayama
Depart Tokyo by Bullet Train to Nagoya. Then, transfer to Takayama, an ancient city called “Little Kyoto.” Afternoon, visit to Yatai Kaikan Hall, Kusakabe Folkcraft Museum, and the streets of Kami Sannomachi, with traditional Japanese wooden houses. Overnight: Hida Hotel Plaza.
Day 2: Takayama | Shirakawago | Kanazawa
Morning visit to the morning market of Takayama. Continue on a scenic drive via Lake Miboro to Shirakawago Observatory offering spectacular views of the unique structures called Shirakawago Gassho-Zukuri, or joined-hands farmhouses. Also visit the Wada Family Residence. Continue to Kanazawa for overnight at the Hotel Nikko Kanazawa. (B)
Day 3: Kanazawa | Tokyo
Morning sightseeing to Kenroku-en Garden, Kutaniyaki Pottery Kiln and old Nomura Samurai Residence. Afternoon return to Tokyo by train. (B)
