DAY 1
Arrival in Siem Reap

Welcome at Siem Reap Airport and transfer to hotel.

Optional: Phare Circus show for a peek into Cambodian history and culture, ideal for all age groups. Talented young performers are energetic and show the vibrancy of Cambodia, giving travelers insight into a deeply revealing piece of Khmer history. You will be transported into the Khmer Rouge period and discover modern issues of Khmer society.

DAY 2
Siem Reap

This morning, travel on a road lined by huge, hundred-year-old trees. All of a sudden, a majestic stone door appears, and you enter Angkor Thom called “the big city.” Magically emerging from nowhere, admire the massive curious smiling faces carved in stone – the Bayon Temple, built in the 12th century. This amazing edifice is surrounded by 54 towers, each of them adorned with 4 faces. After, travel to the Baphuon, a temple mountain built in the 11th century, recently restored by French architects. Then, admire the Terrace of the Elephants, which was used for royal audiences and public ceremonies. The visit continues to the Terrace of the Leper King, built in the 12th century, covered by magnificent Apsara sculptures. Lunch at a secret temple in Angkor Archeological Park, far from the crowds. Afternoon visit the massive and most famous temple: Angkor Wat. Finish the day at Ta Prohm, a temple consumed by tropical growth, and enjoy sunset at Srah Srang baray. (B)

DAY 3
Siem Reap

Full day car and guide at disposal. (B)

Optional: Half-day, participate in local village life & Bateay Srei temple visit
Learn to make your own traditional breakfast of rice noodles with a family and enjoy eating together. Visit another village specializing in bamboo sticky rice production and harvesting coconuts. Assist in the preparation while tasting this delicious Cambodian snack with a fresh coconut. Along the way, stop by the different sugar palm stalls and hear local villagers explain how they process the fruits in different ways. The final stop is at a house where a family creates handicrafts made of palm leaves as a source of income. The villagers will teach you to make one and bring back your own craft as a personal souvenir. On the way back to Siem Reap, a visit to Banteay Srei, “The Women’s Citadel.”

DAY 4
Depart Siem Reap

After breakfast and check-out, transfer to Siem Reap Airport for departure flight. (B)
