Discover the marvels of Salzburg, known worldwide as the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and famous for its architecture and magnificent monuments in Baroque and Renaissance styles. The historic city center is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Our tour begins at the Palace of Mirabell, built in 1606 for the Archbishop of Salzburg. We pass the Mozarteum (University of Music) and arrive at Market Square to see the Trinity Church, a Baroque masterpiece. Next, we cross the river for a photo break at Hellbrunn Palace, a 17th century hunting lodge. Before entering the heart of the city through the Siegmunds Gate, we pass the Frohnburg Palace and the Nonnberg Abbey. The tour concludes in Mozart Square with the statue of the composer and the cathedral. Afternoon tour of Hohensalzburg, an important landmark of Salzburg and Central Europe’s largest intact fortress which offers fantastic views of the city. (B)
