DAY 1
Arrival in Salvador

Arrive in Salvador, Brazil’s original colonial capital and transfer to your hotel. Experience Brazil’s close connection to Africa through food, music and lively atmosphere. The city is also recognized for its great nightlife and superb restaurants.

DAY 2
Salvador

Morning visit to the old quarter with its historical relics, magnificent churches and unusual art. A day for rest and relaxation on one of the great bays of the world. Board a schooner and cruise to Frades Island for a swim in the sparkling waters. Then, across to the larger Itaparica Island. After lunch, enjoy the beach or take an optional tour to a nearby colonial town before returning to Salvador by boat. Visit Pelourinho, an impressive complex of colonial baroque architecture. At night, treat yourself to the endless sounds and colors of the Afro-Brazilian tradition, at the Miguel de Santana Show, including a traditional dinner. (B,L,D)

 

DAY 3
Depart Salvador

A full-day at leisure to explore the city. An optional visit to H. Stern’s world headquarters can be arranged upon request.

Afterwards, transfer to the airport for your departing flight. (B)
