Upon arrival in Lima, you will be welcomed and taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax and unwind.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco, with its amazing view while crossing the Andes of Peru. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel, built along the Vilcanota riverbank, on the lands of an old 17th-century colonial hacienda. It is the most complete and specialized wellness center in Peru. In the late afternoon, take part in a traditional ceremony performed by a shaman, giving thanks to Mother Earth through a series of offerings. After the ceremony, dinner at your hotel. (B,D)
Today you will depart to visit Chinchero, known to the Incas as the birthplace of the rainbow. It originally was a place where the local and remote communities met and bartered for their products. Visit the Center for Traditional Textiles, devoted to renewing the rich past of extraordinary textile designs and complex weaving techniques. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing therapeutic massage, followed by a session of Shirodhara, which is a form of Ayurveda therapy, where a warm medicinal oil will be gently applied to your forehead. This is a great treatment for chronic headaches, insomnia, anxiety, and nervousness. To keep you in a state of tranquility, the next activity will be a reflexology massage, which consists of exfoliation with Maras salts and coconut oils, followed by an energizing herbal wrapping. Finish the day with a Vichy shower which will relax your nervous system. (B,L,D)
Morning drive to Moray through wide-open green meadows and fields with grazing animals with the background of the majestic snow-capped Andean mountains with many visible glaciers. Archaeologists believe that the area was a sort of agricultural laboratory that was an important center of domestication, acclimatization and hybridization of wild vegetable species that were modified or adapted for human consumption. The Maras Salt Mine is believed to be the last place to practice production processes continuously since Inca times. In the afternoon, a herbal massage with medicinal plants, and essential oils, followed by a hypothermia bath to remove all toxic substances from your body. Then enjoy a relaxing Ayurvedic 4-hands massage, where two therapists in total synchronization will be in charge of releasing all the tension of your body. Finally, have facial aromatherapy, in order to release tensions and let your skin shine. (B,L,D)
Transfer to the train station at Ollanta, where you will board your train to KM 104. From there, start your trek towards the archaeological site of Chachabamba (7,052 ft.) and Wiñaywayna (8,692 ft.). Hike upwards for about 5 miles (approximately four hours), until you reach the Inca Site of Wiñay Wayna. This impressive complex is made up of an agricultural center, a religious sector and an urban sector. Continue to Inti Punku ‘The Sun Gate’ where you can admire the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu (7,874 ft.). Take the shuttle bus to your hotel in the village of Machu Picchu. Later enjoy a unique Andean Sauna, where stones are heated in a candle-lit eucalyptus hut next to a natural spring water pond. (B,D)
Start the day with a two-hour guided tour of the Archaeological Park of Machu Picchu, a UNESCO World Heritage site and New 7th Wonder of the World. Machu Picchu is one of the many energy vortices recognized by metaphysical people around the world. Machu Picchu is also one of the most important places to visit in terms of spiritual alignment as it opens and resonates with ALL the chakras. In the afternoon, select from a variety of activities, including: a nature walk in the fragile ecosystem of the Machu Picchu, a walk through the orchid garden with 372 different native orchid species, a visit an organic tea plantation and tea house, cloud forest bird watching or a visit to a crop-rich native farm. In the early evening, enjoy a twilight walk designed to connect on a spiritual level with the environment and the historical energy of the Machu Picchu area. (B,D)
Transfer to the train station to board your train back to Ollanta Station. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Cusco. After lunch, tour the Sacsayhuaman archaeological complex, a masterpiece of Incan architecture. Continue to the Church and Convent of Santo Domingo, built upon the foundations of an Inca temple. Afterwards, go to a famous artisans neighborhood, a great area to wander around. Visit two workshops: the first belonging to a talented luthier (one of only two in the whole of Peru) and the second belonging to an artisan family that is famous for their sculptures of religious icons. With the guidance of a professional chef， prepare the most popular and delicious dishes of Peru, including a refreshing drink, appetizer, main course and dessert. The afternoon is yours at leisure for personal activities or make great use of your tourist ticket and visit the following sites: Historic Regional Museum, Contemporary Art Museum, Qosqo Native ArtCenter, Popular Art Museum.
