Early morning drive to Laredo Bay to board speedboats to Magdalena Island to see the Magellanic Penguins in the largest colony of South America. We continue our journey to Isla Marta to see sea lions, imperial cormorants and hundreds of southern gulls. Return to the pier and to Punta Arenas, hoping to see dolphins on the way. (B)
Depart your hotel for Cueva del Milodón, passing through the “Silla del Diablo” rock formation. Continue to Torres del Paine National Park, seeing lagoons and mountains along the way. Admire the gorgeous landscape from the Grey Lagoon to the Grey Glacier, the Macizo del Paine, the Lago del Toro, and the Cuernos del Paine before arriving at the Grey Lake for a pleasant walk along its shore. Lunch and break inside the park. Next head to the Salto Grande sector of Torres del Paine National Park to Lake Nordenskjold scenic overlook. A curvy route leads to spectacular Laguna Amarga. Enjoy breakfast on board while the boat passes through the Señoret Canal and heads toward Guanaco Island where we can see the small and wonderful Magellan Dolphins. The trip continues to Punta de Lobos and the cliffs where condors thrive. On to Mount Balmaceda to admire the glacier then disembark in Puerto Toro to begin the one-hour trek around the shore of the Témpanos lagoon, accompanied by our bilingual guide.
