Morning Mendoza City Tour after breakfast, beginning with the ancient city. Other sites include the mall, micro center, Civic District, and the General San Martin Park with the Cerro de la Gloria, World Cup stadium and Frank Romero Day amphitheater, stage of the central event of the National Harvest Festival. Return to hotel for a free afternoon and overnight. (B)
Breakfast and early departure to full mountain high day tour through the Andes to see places of extraordinary beauty such as Potrerillos and Uspallata. We visit Los Penitentes ski center, Puente del Inca’s hot springs, and the “Mirador del Aconcagua” for an unbeatable view of the hill. We continue along the route to Las Cuevas, the last Argentine town on the road, before returning to Mendoza for overnight. (B)
Breakfast before guided tour of the wine oasis in the Uco Valley, where the most prestigious, high-end wineries are located. Visit 3 wineries for tastings. The guide will explain the wine-making process, vine and irrigation systems, and the care, aging, and fractionation of different types of wines. Lunch at the winery to enjoy the renowned cuisine and put into practice newly learned tasting techniques. Return to hotel for overnight. (B,L)
