Welcome to Peru! Upon arrival, meeting and assistance, then transfer to your hotel with your private guide. Begin your Health & Wellness experience with a massage session in the afternoon at the hotel, to relax and recover from your flight. Immerse yourself into the valley’s scents and scenes while enjoying your dinner at your hotel. (D)
After breakfast, enjoy a recharging yoga session. Today’s first destination is a quaint little town that houses an important Incan outpost, built at the end of the 1400s, as well as a lovely and very traditional church. You will have the opportunity to be part of a weaving workshop. Afterwards, you will travel to Ollantaytambo, an Incan military, religious, and agricultural center located at the highest point on the mountain. Lunch featuring a variety of Peruvian dishes is included at Wayra Ranch with an amazing Paso Horse Show. Dinner is included at the hotel, time to relax and use the facilities of the hotel. (B, L, D)
Train ride to the city of Aguas Calientes then continue by bus to the Machu Picchu archaeological site. Your tour includes every nook and cranny of this UNESCO World Cultural site and one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, making for an experience you will never forget. You will have free time to explore the site on your own, relax or meditate. After lunch at the famed Belmond Sanctuary Lodge, transfer to your hotel in Cusco for dinner. (B, L, D)
This morning we visit Moray which is an interesting archaeological site with its enormous circular and semi-circular agricultural terraces that were developed from natural cavities in the limestone of the hill. Not far away are the Maras salt pans, where the finest salt in the world is extracted: Maras salt. (B)
Optional: You can consult a local shaman in Cusco during this part of your trip or chose to add a picnic lunch in the afternoon.
After breakfast, explore the city of Cusco, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit some of the city’s beautiful Baroque churches. In the afternoon, an excursion to some of the nearby archaeological sites, including Sacsayhuaman Fortress, built of enormous stone blocks expertly shaped by the Incas. It is strategically located at the top of a hill with a breathtaking view of the city! Then, visit one of the largest huacas (holy places) in the region, where sacrifices took place. Then a fort made of large walls and terraces, which might have served as an inn where the Incan emperor and his entourage would have lodged for the night. The last set of ruins is at a site where important water veneration rites may have been carried out. (B)
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima where you will connect with your international return flight. (B)
