Tuesday: Arrival in Cairo

Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel where you will have time to unwind, rest and freshen up before your private felucca dinner cruise on the Nile. (D)

Wednesday: Cairo

Your morning begins with a visit to the Pyramids of Giza, the sole surviving structures of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. Your visit will include a visit to the Sphinx and a camel ride! Eat a traditional lunch at one of Cairo’s iconic restaurants. After a free afternoon, you will have an evening cooking class and learn the joys of cooking Egyptian style, followed by dinner. (B,L,D)

Thursday: Cairo

Travel by Nile Water Taxi to the world-famous Egyptian Museum with its 100,000 objects covering 5,000 years of ancient Egyptian civilization, including King Tut’s treasures and the fascinating Mummy Room. Then travel back in time to the Pharaonic Village and see Ancient Egypt come alive, with activities, games and much more, followed by a visit to one of the country’s great bazaars. In the evening, dine with a local Egyptian family at their home; an exceptional opportunity for both adults and children to learn about modern life in Egypt and make new friends. (B,L,D)

Friday: Cairo | Nile Cruise

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, you will be met and taken to your cruise ship, for a 4-day/3-night Nile River cruise. Visit the High Dam, the 3,500-year-old Unfinished Obelisk, a Nubian Village and a breathtaking Sound and Light Show at Philae Temple. (B,L,D)

Saturday: Kom Ombo

The highlight of our cruise today is a visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo, a Greco-Roman temple designed for the worship of two gods and the Edfu Temple. (B,L,D)

Sunday: Luxor | Karnak

Another wonderful day in Ancient Egypt. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Luxor and Karnak, known as the world’s greatest open-air museum! (B,L,D)

Monday: Luxor

Disembark the cruise and head to the Valley of the Kings containing the secretive tombs of New Kingdom Pharaohs. Visit the beautifully terraced Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari. Pass the famed Colossi of Memnon, standing nearly 70 feet tall. After a light lunch, depending on scheduling, visit a local school where adults and children alike will have the opportunity to interact with schoolchildren. Later, an evening city tour with a horseback ride. (B,L,D)

Tuesday: Luxor | Hurghada

Transfer to Hurghada, one of Egypt’s most beautiful beach resorts. The balance of the day is yours, to relax and enjoy the beach. (B)

Wednesday: Hurghada

Morning underwater adventure without getting wet aboard the Sinbad Submarine. The submarine is designed specifically for viewing the beauty of stunning coral reefs, fish and marine life giving you a magical and unforgettable journey. (B,L,D)

Friday: Hurghada | Departure from Cairo

Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Cairo and connect with your international flight. (B)
