DAY 1
Arrival in Zagreb

You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The day is at leisure. In the evening enjoy a welcome dinner. (D)

DAY 2
Zagreb

Morning sightseeing tour of Zagreb, including the Stone Gate, Lotrscak Tower, the Cathedral, Parliament, and Government Palace. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic drive to Kumrovec, birth place of the late Marshal Tito, the president of former Yugoslavia. Today, the major attraction of Kumrovec is the Ethnological Museum Staro Selo, an open-air museum with very well preserved village houses from the turn of the 19th-20th century. Later, an early dinner of genuine local specialties and wine at the local restaurant/farm, with magnificent views of a 15th-century castle. (B,D)

DAY 3
Zagreb | Plitvice

Journey south and visit Plitvice Lakes National Park, one of Croatia’s oldest and largest national parks and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder with 16 terraced lakes surrounded by thickly wooded mountains and lush vegetation. (B,D)

DAY 4
Plitvice | Hvar Island

Visit Ethnoland Dalmati, a unique theme park that acquaints visitors with the traditional life in the Dalmatian hinterland. After a welcome ceremony, listen to Dalmatians tell stories of their ancestors, customs and tradition. Then enjoy a lunch feast for your body and soul with local delicacies. In the afternoon, board the ferry and set sail to Hvar Island. (B,L,D)

DAY 5
Hvar Island

The town of Hvar has a unique cultural and historical heritage, plus a centuries-old tradition in tourism. A morning walking tour reveals Hvar’s Venetian flavor, with views of the Fortress, Franciscan Monastery and more. Afterwards, drive into the inland to the island’s famous fields of rosemary and lavender, as well as vineyard-covered hills, olive groves. At night, kick back, relax, and enjoy this charming island, listed as one of the 10 most beautiful islands in the world. (B)

DAY 6
Hvar Island | Split

Return to the mainland to Split, for a walking tour of the historic inner city, built around the massive Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Then on to see the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, the 1,700-year-old Jupiter’s Temple and the Peristyle. The remainder of the day is at leisure in Split. DAY 7
Split | Dubrovnik

Cross the border into Bosnia and Herzegovina,vstop at the small town of Medjugorje, one of the most famous places of pilgrimage in the Catholic world. Continue to lovely Mostar to walk across the famous Stari Most, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This 16th-century bridge was reconstructed after being almost completely destroyed during the Croat–Bosniak War. In the afternoon, a drive along the picturesque Croatian coast reveals the world-famous natural beauty of the area. Taste delicious oysters at a local restaurant in Ston before reaching Dubrovnik, so called “Pearl of Adriatic”. (B,D)

DAY 8
Dubrovnik

Morning walking tour of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. See beautiful Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque churches, monasteries, palaces and fountains, including the Franciscan Monastery with its Pharmacy, one of the oldest in the world. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the city your way, browse through the shops, stroll along the ancient city walls or simply relax. (B)

DAY 9
Departure from Dubrovnik

Transfer to the airport for your return flight. (B)
