DAY 1
Arrival in San Jose

Upon arrival your private driver/guide will be waiting to assist you and take you to your hotel.

DAY 2
San Jose

After breakfast, visit the Casa Luz Organization, dedicated to aiding young mothers and their children who come from situations of abuse, extreme poverty, and exploitation. Learn and share with the young mothers who call Casa Luz “home.” Optional activities for the afternoon include a visit to a nearby coffee farm and mill where you will learn about coffee and enjoy a typical lunch, a visit to La Paz Waterfall Gardens or a visit to a small and colorful artisan town. (B, L)

DAY 3
San Jose | Copey de Dota

After breakfast, early departure to Ecolodge Cedrela, located near Los Santos Forest Reserve in Dota County. Upon arrival, check-in and orientation to learn about the planned activities. During the afternoon, learn about eco-farming and organic farming, as well as start with the preparation for your volunteer project tomorrow. (B,L,D)

DAY 4
Copey de Dota | San Juana

Early breakfast and start with our community service program that will be either cementing trails or painting in the local school or church. After lunch, drive to the village of Santa Juana where you will have an opportunity to interact with the local men and women. The tranquil atmosphere, warmth and charm of the rural lifestyle, coupled with the lush mountain landscapes and stunning vistas of the Pacific coastline, are quite impressive. (B,L,D)

DAY 5
Santa Juana

Guides of the local community will take you exploring by horseback. A 4×4 option is also available. Arrive at the rustic sugar mill, operated by oxen, and learn about the traditional process of producing sugar and molasses. Afterwards your hike in the rainforest, you can swim and relax in a river and waterfall. Enjoy lunch at the lodge, prepared by the community of Santa Juana. In the afternoon spend time with the community, including an opportunity for music lessons, dance lessons, cooking together and much more. (B,L,D)

DAY 6
Santa Juana | Manuel Antonio

After breakfast, you may fish with the children of the community, as well as work on the reforestation project at a nearby farm. In the early afternoon, depart for Manuel Antonio. Upon arrival, a brief orientation followed by a welcome cocktail and delicious dinner. (B,L,D)

DAY 7
Manuel Antonio

After breakfast, guided walk in Manuel Antonio National Park and free time to enjoy the beaches. You are free to explore the multiple options near the park. Return in the afternoon, with time to relax and enjoy the facilities. (B)

Note: An optional night tour to the Greentique Wildlife Refuge is available. 

DAY 8
Manuel Antonio

Morning visit to the nearby, small town of Quepos. Visit the Wildife Rescue Center. Enjoy optional activities such as canopy tours, surfing lessons, deep sea fishing etc. (B)

DAY 9
Manuel Antonio | Departure from San Jose

Transfer to the airport in San Jose for your return flight. (B)
