Welcome to Bogotá, where you will be met at the airport and then transferred to your hotel.
City tour, starting with the neighborhood of La Candelaria, the city’s heart and soul. Among the attractions you will see there are Plaza Bolivar (Main Square), the Palace of Justice, Colombian Congress and the Primary Cathedral of Bogota, as well as the statue of Simon Bolivar (Founder of Colombian independence). You will have time for a refreshment stop in one of the cities coffee houses. Continue to the Botero Museum, which houses works of world-famous artists, the Casa de la Moneda (the mint) and the Gold Museum. Then travel north through the countryside to Zipaquirá and see the famous Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá. (B,L)
Private transfer to the airport for your flight to Medellin. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours. (B)
Tour Plaza Botero, the famous sculpture park. Then witness the miraculous transformation of the Comuna 13 barrio, once considered one of the most violent communities in Medellin’s history. (B,L)
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cartagena. Upon arrival, you will be met transferred to your hotel. (B)
Enter the Plaza de los Coches through the Puerta Del Reloj (Clock Tower entrance) and continue touring the old town, seeing the many ancient and historic sites of this colorful historic city. (B)
Board a motor boat for a 60-minute ride through the Bay of Cartagena to the beautiful crystal-clear waters of the Rosario Island archipelago, home to pristine white sandy beaches, coral reefs and one of the most diverse and richest marine ecosystems in Colombia. On arrival at the island, you will have time to relax sunbathe and enjoy a swim and a refreshment until your delicious local lunch. After lunch, you will have additional time to relax and enjoy a final swim in the Caribbean before returning to Cartagena on your speed boat. (B,L)
