Arrival in Havana

Welcome to Havana! Upon arrival, transfer to your elegant hotel in the oceanfront Vedado district, considered the Beverly Hills of Havana. (D)


Explore Old Havana to admire the ongoing restoration transforming this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Old City plazas, gleaming colonial places and other attractions. After lunch, visit the Muraleando Art Project, where Cuban and international artists have used almost every available wall as canvas for hundreds of beautiful painted murals. Later, meet with members of the Havana Compas Dance Company which combines the essence of Spanish dance with Afro-Cuban rhythms. (B,L,D)

Havana | Pinar Del Rio

Transfer to the lush region of Pinar del Rio, which was founded by tobacco farmers in 1669. Tour a local cigar factory to see the process of creating this staple of the Cuban economy. After lunch, visit to a peaceful and romantic village with multi-colored houses, located in one of the most beautiful settings in Cuba. Afterwards, learn the process of growing the tobacco leaf at a local organic tobacco farm. Finally, travel to Los Jamines to be awed by the shimmering sight of magnificent mogotes, oxen-ploughed red fields and palm-frond-covered tobacco drying houses. (B,L,D)

Pinar Del Rio

Visit the sustainable community and reserve of Las Terrazas, a UNESCO designated Biosphere Reserve. From there, visit the Buenavista Coffee Plantation to learn about the coffee production that was established by the French two centuries ago. After lunch you will have some free time to enjoy a refreshing swim in Los Banos de San Juan. (B,L,D)

Pinar Del Rio | Havana

Transfer back to Havana, with a stop at Finca Vigia “Lookout Farm,” Ernest Hemingway’s winter home from 1939 to 1960. See the author’s 9,000 volume library, yacht and typewriter. Then another stop at the visit the picturesque fishing village, which Hemingway used as the background for The Old Man and the Sea(B,L,D)


Visit a non-governmental institution for culture and science, that is dedicated to research and promotion of programs and projects for the protection of the environment as it relates to culture and society. Next, visit the home, studio and community art project of José Rodríguez Fuster, a native Cuban artist who has transformed his home and the adjoining area to an interesting art project known as Fusterlandia. Continue to the port of Havana for a visit to the famous Almacenes de San Jose crafts market. (B,L,D)


Tour the Museum of the Revolution,housed in what was the Presidential Palace of all Cuban presidents before the Cuban Revolution. Then travel to Quinsi Cuaba Community Project, whose goal of this project is to restore the traditional African folk culture. (B,L,D)

Depart Havana
