Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Bangkok
Upon your arrival in Bangkok, your tour guide will greet you and escort you to your awaiting vehicle for a private direct transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Bangkok
In the morning, a long tail boat ride along the Chao Phaya River and the quiet Klongs (canals). Visit the Royal Grand Palace, the nation’s landmark that occupies nearly one square mile. Built in 1782 by King Rama I, it was the center of power for more than 150 years. (B)

Day 3: Bangkok | Chiang Mai
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, the most sacred temple in the north of Thailand. The temple compound, reachable via a 300 steps stairs offers an exhilarating view of Chiang Mai city and the surrounding countryside. Drive back down to the city center to visit some of the other impressive temples of Chiang Mai. (B)

Day 4: Chiang Mai
A picturesque drive through the countryside, along Mae Taeng Valley which brings you to Elephant Nature Park. You will hear the personal stories of our rescued elephants and learn about the problems elephants face in Southeast Asia. You will have a chance to feed and bathe the elephants. A sumptuous and varied buffet lunch is included. (B,L)

Day 5: Chiang Mai
Today is yours to relax and explore Chiang Mai on your own.

Optional adventure tour to the rainforest, where you will spend 3 hours, rigged securely, high up in the canopy, flying from tree house to tree house on zip lines. Then visit a picturesque village where you can see traditional village craftsmen at work(B)

Day 6: Chiang Mai | Luang Prabang
Transfer to the airport and fly to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, your guide will welcome you and escort you to your hotel. (B)

Day 7: Luang Prabang
After a morning visit to the local market to see the local bustle and activity of the early morning, travel to Wat Visoun (Wat Wisunalat), the oldest living temple in Luang Prabang, dating back to 1513. Then continue to other unique and significant monasteries and temples. Later, tour the National Museum (Royal Palace), a turn-of-the-century royal residence that has been preserved, as it was when the royal family last lived there. See palace’s most prized art, including the Phrabang, a gold, silver and bronze Buddha standing almost 3 feet tall and weighing more than 100 pounds. (B)

Day 8: Luang Prabang
The day is yours to relax and explore the charming town of Luang Prabang on your own. Optional Lao cooking class at  Tamarind Restaurant. (B).

Day 9: Luang Prabang | Siem Reap
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Upon arrival, your guide will greet you and take you to your hotel. (B)

Day 10: Siem Reap
Visit Angkor Wat, the crowning jewel of Khmer architecture, as well as the national symbol and the highlight of any visit to Cambodia. Continue to the fortified city of Angkor Thom, covering an area of 10 square km. Enclosed by a wall and wide moats, the city includes many of Angkor’s most popular sights such as Terrace of the Elephants, the Terrace of the Leper Kings, the ruined Baphuon, and the mysterious Bayon Temple. Then head to Ta Prohm, one of the most popular attractions of Angkor, as much of the jungle has not been cleared. Watch the sunset over the Cambodian countryside from the upper terraces of an ancient Angkorian temple. (B)

Day 11: Siem Reap
The day is yours to relax and explore Siem Reap on your own. Optional half-day excursions to the countryside (by quad bike) or Bateay Srei.(B)

Day 12: Depart Siem Reap
Transfer to the airport for your return flight. (B)
