The day is yours at leisure to explore the area on your own. Your program includes 2 yoga classes at a nearby studio which can be scheduled at your preferred time. (B)
After breakfast, enjoy a 2-hour biking tour through the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In the afternoon, visit the 11th-century Pura Batukaru, a Hindu temple on the slopes of Mount Batukaru. Later, discover the Mengwi Royal Temple, another World Heritage site, built in 1634 to serve as the family temple of the Mengwi dynasty. It is a stunning example of historical temple architecture with multi-roofed meru (shrines) and intricately carved wooden gates. (B,L)
Discover the highlights of Ubud. Converse with a Balinese shaman and have a treatment if necessary. After a healthy vegetarian lunch in a local restaurant, visit Saraswati Temple, dedicated to Goddess of Arts and Knowledge. Proceed with a walking tour of the 16th-century Ubud Royal Palace, where the royal family still resides. Just across the street is the famous Ubud Market which provides a great opportunity for souvenir shopping! (B,L)
Join a jamu workshop that offers insight into traditional herbal medicine and its application in daily life. Discover the fresh ingredients, the composition and the benefits of herbal medicine; this is a hands-on experience in learning how to make your own ‘potion’ and in improving your wellness using a mixture of herbal ingredients. In the afternoon, transfer to Sanur. The afternoon is yours at leisure. (B,L)
After breakfast, enjoy a stand-up paddle-boarding lesson. It is suitable for everyone as it can be practiced on shallow water without waves and does not require surfing experience. Afterwards, head to a local restaurant for a healthy vegetarian lunch. In the afternoon, visit Bali’s most scenic temples, Pura Luhur Uluwatu. One of the nine key directional temples, it is majestically perched on the edge of a steep cliff over 200 feet above sea level. As the sun begins to set, witness a colossal Balinese dance performance, a Kecak Fire Dance. Dinner of fresh Balinese grilled seafood will be served at a beachfront restaurant in Jimbaran. (B,L,D)
