Day 1: Arrival in Lima
Arrival in Lima, meeting and assistance at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Lima
Enjoy your morning city tour includes Plaza Mayor, the Monastery of San Francisco and modern residential suburbs. After the city tour, visit Aliaga’s House, a colonial mansion that has stood already five centuries. Finally, drive to the Larco Herrera Museum, home to the world’s largest private collection of Peruvian pre-Columbian art and a famed erotic pottery collection. Later enjoy a delicious dinner at an exclusive restaurant in Lima. (B,D)
Day 3: Lima | Sacred Valley
Transfer to the airport for your short flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel. Continue to Ollantaytambo and see its incredibly narrow streets and canal that has not changed since the Incas constructed them. After completing this leg of the journey, you travel to the town of Pisac to visit the Pisac market which is quite captivating. Dinner at the hotel. (B,L,D)
Day 4: Sacred Valley | Machu Picchu | Cusco
Your adventure to Machu Picchu starts with a train ride to the city of Aguas Calientes, where you disembark and then board a bus that drives you to the actual Machu Picchu archeological site. The tour includes every nook and cranny of this location which is both, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Afterwards, there is some free time for you to explore the site on your own, to relax, or to meditate. You will then descend to Aguas Calientes for lunch at a local restaurant and later, board the train for the return trip to Cusco. (B,D)
Day 5: Cusco
Tour the city of Cusco, a UNESCO World Heritage site, including Koricancha Temple, the church of Santo Domingo, the Main Square and the Sacsayhuaman Fortress. The tour continues with visits to three archeological sites: Qenko, Puca-Pucara, and Tambomachay, important religious and administrative centers for the Incas. Finally, you will visit an art workshop where artists work on silver pieces and painting in wood. (B)
Day 6: Cusco | Puno
Travel to Puno and enjoy the wonderful scenery on the way, including a 17th-century church with an amazing organ decorated with angels and cherubs, Inca ruins and a picturesque mountain pass. Upon arrival in Puno, transfer to the hotel. (B,L)
Day 7: Puno | Huatajata
Depart for Copacabana. Visit the church of Pomata before departing on a hydrofoil* to Sun Island, Moon Island and the bucolic and untouched Bay of Cocotoni. Then continue to Huatajata by motorcoach and visit the Andean Roots Eco Village, Altiplano Museum, handicrafts village, the mud igloos and the mortuary towers of the Urus chipayas. At night, visit the mystical world of the Kallawayas and see a ritual presentation by a local “shaman.” Candlelight dinner at the hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 8: Huatajata
Morning hydrofoil cruise on Lake Titicaca to the island of Pariti, the newest archaeological discovery on the lake. Continue to Kalauta Island, the largest ancient necropolis on Lake Titicaca, reachable only by navigating through reed canals. Finally, visit the Urus-Iruitos Floating Island and sustainable Tourism Project on Quewaya Island. After an Aptapi native-style picnic lunch, return by cruise to Huatajata. At night, dinner at the hotel followed by a visit to the “Alajpacha” (native observatory) for a look at the southern skies. (B,L,D)
Day 9: Huatajata | La Paz
Drive to the magnificent Bolivian ruins of Tiwanaku, thought to be the largest city in the ancient world with more than 100,000 inhabitants. Visit the ruins of the Akapana Pyramid, the Kalasaya, the underground temples, aqueducts and the Gate of the Sun. A box lunch is included today. (B,L)
Day 10: La Paz
Morning tour of La Paz and its surroundings. Visit the colonial and modern areas, the Indian Market and the Witch Doctor’s Market. Later, see to the Moon Valley, a clay formation resembling the face of the Moon. The afternoon is yours at leisure. (B)
Day 11: Depart La Paz
Transfer to the airport for your return flight. (B)
