Day 1: Arrival in La Paz
Arrival and transfer to your hotel in La Paz. The remainder of the day is yours at leisure. (D)
Day 2: La Paz
Enjoy your morning city tour of La Paz and its surroundings. Visit colonial and modern areas, the Indian Market and the Witch Doctor’s Market. Later, see to the Moon Valley, a clay formation resembling the face of the Moon. The afternoon is yours at leisure. (B,L)
Day 3: La Paz | Tiwanaku | Huatajata
Depart La Paz and transfer to Tiwanaku. Visit the magnificent Tiwanaku ruins, including the Sun Gate, Temple of Kalasasaya and the Pyramid of Akapana. In the afternoon travel to Huatajata, experience the Andean Roots Eco Village and visit the Altiplano Museum. Spend some time at the Kallawaya Natural Spa where ancient, traditional methods are used to treat stress, well-being, and cosmetology enhancements. At night visit the “Mystic World of the Kallawayas”, natural healers of Bolivia authorized by law to practice natural medicine. (B,L,D)
Day 4: Huatajata | Urus Iruitos Floating Islands | Huatajata
Morning sail on a hydrofoil cruise on Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Arrive on Pariti Island, “The New Archeological Discovery” on Lake Titicaca. Visit the Urus-Iruito Floating Islands and Sustainable Tourism Project on Queqaya Island. You will have a traditional atapi lunch (a picnic with local dishes). Afterwards, depart Urus Iruitos Floating Islands to Huatajata. The afternoon is at leisure. At night, visit the native observatory Alajpacha for a once in a lifetime encounter with the Southern Hemisphere constellations. (B,L)
Day 5: Huatajata | Puno (Peru)
Depart via motorcoach to Cocotoni and then transfer via hydrofoil to Sun Island, where you can visit the Inca Staircase and Sacred Fountain, believed to give you eternal youth. Enjoy lunch at an archeological restaurant. Then return to the hydrofoil to cruise across the lake to Moon Island and visit the Sun Virgin’s Temple Iñak Uyu. Continue to Copacabana and visit a local church. (B,L)
Day 6: Depart Puno
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
