Icebergs, hot springs and volcanoes dominate Iceland´s beautiful, yet rugged landscape. On a guided coach tour, experience the hidden powers of the island including views of the notorious Eyjafjallajokull volcano and the breathtaking glacial lagoon. With several nights spent in stunning rural locations, you’ll be perfectly situated to hunt for the magical Northern Lights.

Day 1: Arrival in Reykjavik
Upon arrival to Reykjavik, transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Thingvellir | Stokkur | Gullfoss
Start the day by visiting the Northern Lights Center. Continue onwards to Thingvellir National Park, (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) where the world’s oldest parliament met. Then drive to where we will experience a geothermal bakery and dig up break that has been cooked underground. Continue to the geothermal fields of Geysir with the reliably erupting Stokkur hot spring. Last we will visit the dramatic two-tiered Gullfoss waterfall frozen in mid-cascade. (B,D)
Day 3: Eyjafjallajokull | Kirkhubaejarklauster
Today explore the region close to the towering Eyjafjallajokull volcano. Begin at the Volcano Visitor Center at Thorvaldseyri Farm. Afterwards we will visit a modern Icelandic grain farm and follow the coastline stopping at Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls. We will continue to Reynisfjara beach and view the extraordinary rock formations. Finally enjoy a nighttime Northern Lights hunt in Kirkjubaejarklauster. (B,D)
Day 4: Skaftafell | Jokulsarlon
Today we will explore one of Iceland’s mores outstanding areas of natural beauty, Skaftafell National Park. We will marvel at the glacier Vatnajokull, Europe’s largest ice cap. Then continue to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon to see the icebergs on the deep lagoon. (B,D)
Day 5: Hveragerd | Blue Lagoon | Reykjavik
Today visit Hveragerdi sites in the world located directly above a geothermal area, it is called “the flower village” because of its many greenhouses. Next tour Strandakirkja a church believed to have special powers aiding in success and good luck. Afterwards we will visit the famous Blue Lagoon with is warm mineral rich geothermal waters. Return to Reykjavik in the evening. (B)
Day 6: Depart Reykjavik
Transfer to the airport for your flight home. (B)
