Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tel Aviv
Arrive in Israel at Ben Gurion International Airport, where an Iworld of Travel representative will meet you and escort you to your motor coach.Welcome to Israel. You will have only a short drive to Tel Aviv where you will check into your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tel Aviv | Latrun | Beit Guvrin National Park | Rehovot | Weizmann Institute of Science
After breakfast, drive to Latrun to visit the Armored Corps Museum and memorial, also considered one of the most diverse tank museums in the world.Continue to Beit Guvrin National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site; explore parts of the archaeological remains and unique caves.Next, drive to the city of Rehovot to visit the Ayalon Institute, once a secret underground ammunition factory established by the “Haganah,” the Jewish underground movement before May 1948.Continue to the nearby Weizmann Institute of Science and visit the Weizmann House on campus. Constructed in 1936, the house served as the private home and later the formal residence of Dr. Chaim Weizmann, the first president of the state of Israel and founder of the Weizmann Institute of Science. The house is an impressive structure with fascinating gardens, which now form part of the Weizmann Institute of Science. Learn the story of Dr. Chaim Weizmann, an outstanding scientist and head of the Zionist movement for more than 30 years. Return to Tel Aviv. (B)

Day 3: Tel Aviv
After breakfast, your first stop will be a visit to the Palmach Museum, which is an experiential museum covering the Palmach Legacy through stories of individuals and groups. You will visit Rabin Square and then on to Neve Tzedek for a tour of the first neighborhood of Tel Aviv including a visit to the Tachana (The Station used to be the old train station from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem). Next you will visit Old Jaffa including the Flea Market. (B)

Day 4: Tel Aviv | Caesarea | Haifa
Visit Independence Hall where the founding of the State of Israel was proclaimed. Visit the Anu Museum, a global institution that tells the ongoing story of the Jewish people. Depart Tel Aviv, heading north along the Mediterranean coast.Visit Caesarea the Roman port city built by Herod the Great and see the Roman Theater.Visit the museum at the Illegal Immigration Camp near Atlit, a national heritage site and an educational center for the heritage and history of the Ha’apala (the Jewish clandestine immigration to Palestine/Eretz Israel during the British Mandate period).Head up to Haifa and view the Baha’i Gardens and the city of Haifa.Check in at hotel for overnight. Day 5: Akko | Safed | Haifa
Travel to the Phoenician port city of Akko. Continue to visit Rosh HaNikra, the most northern point on the coast and walk through the beautiful grottos carved by the sea. Visit the ancient city of Safed, the city of mystics. Visit the synagogue of Rabbi Isaac Luria and Rabbi Joseph Karo, and wander through the alleys, lanes and art galleries in the Old City of Safed Visit a winery and kibbutz along the border with Lebanon. Tour Tel Dan by the Dan River – one of the tributaries of the Jordan River.Return to Haifa for overnight. (B)

Day 6: Beit Shean | Gan Hashlosha National Park | Jerusalem
After breakfast, check out from your hotel. Drive to Beit Shean, known as “Scythopolis,” and see the fascinating excavated remains from the Roman and Byzantine periods.Stop at nearby Beit Alpha to admire the beautiful mosaic floor of an ancient synagogue discovered in 1929.Visit Gan Hashlosha National Park and enjoy the warm spring water pools and waterfalls.Afterward, descend via the Jordan Valley to Jerusalem.Upon arrival in Israel’s capital city, stop at Mount Scopus for a blessing as you take in the breathtaking vista of Jerusalem.Check in to your hotel in Jerusalem. Day 7: Jerusalem
After breakfast, Visit the Tomb of King David on Mount Zion. Enter the Old City via the Zion Gate into the Jewish Quarter. Walk along the Cardo, the heart of the ancient Roman City. Visit the four Sephardic synagogues restored after they sustained damage during the Six-Day War.Explore the Western Wall Tunnels. Experience the archaeological park located at the Davidson Center.Walk through the colorful Arab bazaar and visit the Tower of David Museum, presenting the history of Jerusalem and ancient remains of the city dating back to the First Temple period.Overnight in Jerusalem. Day 8: Jerusalem | Dead Sea | Masada
After breakfast drive to the lowest place on earth known to man, the Dead Sea. Continue south to Masada, the site of the last stand by a group of Jewish Zealots against the mighty Roman Empire just 3 years after the destruction of the Second Temple in Jerusalem. After lunch enjoy a float in the unsinkable waters of the Dead Sea. You will then continue to Ein Gedi, a natural desert oasis where King David (before he was king), hid from King Saul. Return to the hotel.Return to Jerusalem hotel for overnight. (B)

Day 9: Jerusalem
After breakfast, drive through Mea Shearim, one of the oldest Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem and learn about the unique lifestyle of the city’s ultra-orthodox communities.Walk through Israel’s largest military cemetery, Mount Herzl. Reflect on the visible testament of the personal sacrifice of thousands of Israelis towards the continued existence, security, and safety of the nation.Visit Yad Vashem, considered the foremost monument to mankind’s darkest period and Israel’s official memorial and historical museum commemorating the Nazi Holocaust.Stop at Ammunition Hill, a former Jordanian army stronghold conquered by the Israeli army during the Six-Day War and later converted into a national memorial site and museum.Drive by the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, and see the Menorah with its biblical emblems.Next, visit the Israel Museum. View the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed and the Holy Land model, a miniature replica of Jerusalem as it was during the Second Temple period. (B)
