Day 1: Arrival in Yangon
Upon arrival, meet and greet, then transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Yangon
City tour of Yangon, starting with the 2,600-year-old Sule Pagoda, located in the heart of the city. Continue to the National Museum, Bogyoke Market and Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda. Before dusk, travel to the 326-foot-tall Shwedagon Pagoda that sits on a hill 168 feet high, overlooking the city. It is the most sacred Buddhist pagoda in Myanmar. From this amazing viewpoint, experience the magnificent Burmese sunset. (B)

Day 3: Yangon | Bagan
Morning flight to Bagan, an ancient city with over 2,000 pagodas and temples. Bagan is the largest architectural site in Asia; most of the red and white pagodas were built in the 11th and 12th centuries. Stop at an artisan workshop before returning to the hotel. (B)
Day 4: Bagan
Morning excursion to Mt. Popa, an extinct volcano. Ascend to the top to visit the monastery and temple complex with spectacular views of the region. Later, enjoy a scenic boat ride along the Irrawaddy River. Stop at a cave temple and marvel at the intricate carvings on the temple’s walls. Then continue downriver back to Bagan while enjoying the gorgeous sunset views. (B)
Day 5: Bagan | Mandalay
Fly to Mandalay, the former capital of Burma and the country’s cultural and historical center. Upon arrival, depart on an excursion to Amarapura to visit the Mahagandayon Monastery, the country’s most prominent monastic college. Continue to Sagaing, stop at some of the famous temples. Then, travel by horse cart to the ancient city of Inwa and visit the Bagaya Monastery and the Nanmyin Watch Tower. (B)
Day 6: Mandalay
Morning sightseeing tour to the Mahamuni Paya Temple, Shwenandaw Kyaung and other significant monasteries. In the afternoon boat excursion to Mingun to explore the ruins of the vast Mingun Paya, a massive unfinished pagoda built at the end of the 18th century, that was meant to be the largest pagoda in the country. (B)
Day 7: Mandalay | Inle Lake
Morning flight to Heho, from where you will drive to Inle Lake. Enjoy your boat trip on the calm waters dotted with patches of floating vegetation and busy fishing canoes. Visit the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda and the Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery, famous for its jumping cats which are trained by the monks. (B)
Day 8: Inle Lake
Excursion to the Kyae Sar Gone village to see the floating gardens with unusual vegetables and plants. Continue to an authentic Intha Village House and enjoy a boat ride to the Indein temple complex, with its hundreds of small stupas. (B)
Day 9: Inle Lake | Heho | Yangon
Drive to the town of Heho to board your flight back to Yangon. Stop along the way at a local winery. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours. (B)
Day 10: Depart Yangon
Transfer to the airport for your return flight. (B)
