Itinerary
4 nights in Cape Town

All good things start with coffee! Your classic Southern African safari kicks off in Cape Town with an exclusive coffee experience at Truth, followed by a gin tasting at Woodstock Gin. Your luxury accommodation puts you in the heart of the V&A Waterfront and gives you the perfect base from which to launch your Cape Town adventure.

Explore the big attractions, discover the lesser-known gems and become immersed in authentic experiences. Ride the rotating cable car to the summit of Table Mountain, paddle among penguins and marvel at Cape Point, the dramatic promontory where two oceans meet.

For foodie experiences with a difference, you’re invited to a home-hosted lunch with Chef Nicky Gibbs and an authentic Bo Kaap cooking session. Further gastronomic explorations include an unforgettable dinner at Pot Luck Club and some of the most exceptional cuisines on offer at La Colombe, The Test Kitchen and the Greenhouse.

3 nights in Kruger

Picture this: your day starts with coffee, tea and rusks served on the main deck overlooking the riverbed. Then, you depart for an early morning game drive with experienced rangers and trackers who will share their extensive knowledge of the bush with you. After a sumptuous breakfast served either back at the camp or in the riverbed or bush, you’re invited to take a guided walk to see some of the smaller creatures of the wild and follow tracks in more detail.

Spend the rest of the day at leisure before embarking on a late afternoon game drive to view seldom seen nocturnal species by torchlight. Return for a gourmet 3-course dinner, either in the boma, bush or lodge, and end your evening with a nightcap around the campfire.

1 night in Johannesburg

This vibrant city has plenty to offer visitors. If you have time to spare, explore Johannesburg’s historic sights of political importance, museums, art galleries and craft markets from your eco-chic boutique hotel in Melrose, The Peech.

3 nights in Moremi Game Reserve

The next leg of your classic Southern African takes you to the Moremi Game Reserve, on the edge of the Okavango Delta in Botswana. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, and explore the Xakanaxa Lagoon and its surrounding channels by boat. Savour views of incredible landscapes, impressive wildlife as well as the picturesque waters of the Okavango Delta.

The wetlands of Moremi Game Reserve support a vast amount of wildlife, including the Big Five. Birdlife is prolific too, and the majestic Fish Eagle and vivid Malachite Kingfisher are frequently seen. Even the rare Pel’s Fishing Owl makes an occasional appearance, to the delight of guides and guests alike.

3 nights in Okavango Delta

Your journey takes you deeper into the heart of the permanent Okavango Delta, to the island of Nxaragha. Roam the meandering, reed-lined waterways from the comfort of a modern motorboat or in a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe). If you want to get even closer to nature, guided bush walks are conducted on a number of the nearby islands, offering an opportunity to track some of the larger land-based species that inhabit this water wilderness.
