Day 1: Arrival in Bali
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Bali
Your full-day tour begins at the Bali Bird Park, home to more than 250 species of birds, as well as to 3 artisan villages, one famed for its goldsmiths and silversmiths, the second for it woodcarvings and the third for its paintings. Your final stop is to the town of Tampaksiring to see the pre-colonial Tirta Empul, a Hindu temple with holy water that is said to have magic healing powers. (B,L)
Day 3: Bali
The day is yours to enjoy Bali’s picturesque landscapes and beautiful sandy beaches. (B)
Day 4: Bali | Lombok
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Lombok. Transfer to your hotel upon arrival. The rest of the day is yours at leisure. (B)
Day 5: Lombok
Tour starts at the Batu Bolong Temple, perched on a rock that juts into the Indian Ocean. Continue to two artisan villages, known for their pottery and traditional fabrics. Later, on to Sade Village to observe the daily life of the native Sasak people. Stop by the beautiful coastal town of Kuta (Lombok) and later, Tanjung Aan Beach, with its white sand and turquoise water. (B,L)
Day 6: Lombok | Yogyakarta
Fly to Yogyakarta and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours at leisure. (B)
Day 7: Yogyakarta
Start your day at the 9th-century UNESCO World Heritage site, the Borobudur Temple. It is the world’s largest Buddhist temple that was lost for over 500 years. Visit two other 9th-century temples before continuing to the Dieng Plateau, sitting at 6,600 feet above sea level. Afternoon city tour of Yogyakarta, includes the Sonobudoyo Museum, Sultan’s Palace, bird market and batik factory. Evening excursion to the Prambanan Temple, the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia and also a UNESCO World Heritage site. (B,L)
Day 8: Depart Yogyakarta
Transfer to the airport for your return flight. (B)
