Pre-day | Saturday · July 25th, 2026 | Split

Split, Croatia is a captivating blend of ancient history and vibrant seaside culture, making it one of the most popular destinations on the Adriatic coast. At the heart of the city lies Diocletian’s Palace, a remarkably preserved Roman structure that has evolved into a lively urban center filled with shops, cafes, and hidden courtyards.

Upon arrival, guests will be transferred to the elegant Cornaro Hotel, a contemporary luxury property ideally located just steps from the Old Town and the city’s main promenade. Perfectly positioned for exploration, the Cornaro offers refined comfort, modern design, and an excellent introduction to Split’s sophisticated coastal lifestyle.

Wandering its narrow stone alleys feels like stepping back in time, with historic architecture seamlessly blending into modern life. The city’s bustling Riva promenade offers stunning sea views, perfect for a leisurely stroll, while the nearby Marjan Hill provides panoramic vistas and peaceful walking trails above the coastline.

Beyond its historic core, Split offers a dynamic mix of beaches, local markets, and Mediterranean cuisine. Visitors can soak up the sun at Bačvice Beach, sample fresh seafood at the local konobas (taverns), or take day trips to nearby islands like Hvar and Brač.

With its warm climate, friendly locals, and deep cultural roots, Split is both a gateway to Croatia’s Dalmatian coast and a memorable destination in its own right—ideal for history lovers, adventure seekers, and sun-chasers alike.

Day 1 | Monday · July 20, 2026 | Welcome to Venice

Upon arrival in Venice airport, after you make your way through customs and luggage claim, look for your driver in the international arrivals area, this person will be holding the IWorld of Travel sign with our logo and your name on it.

Venice

There’s a reason why it’s so easy to get lost in Venice. This dreamlike city of palaces, bridges, canals, and ultra-narrow lanes was designed to look the same throughout so that potential foreign invaders would get lost but locals would know exactly how and where to flee.

Anyone who has spent even an afternoon in this singular city, which feels like it was concocted in the imagination of the gods, can certainly relate to this. Today the only lost invaders in Venice are the ample amounts of tourists who descend upon this near-fantasy city with heroic regularity. Venice may be too attractive and charming for its own good but people will never stop coming.

Like Prague and Amsterdam, Venice isn’t really a place to check sights off of a list. Sure, there is the extravagant St. Mark’s Basilica (and its superlative square of the same name), the Rialto Bridge, the Gallerie dell’Accademia (and all those Titians and Bellinis), the ornate Doges Palace, and the Bridge of Sighs, among other sites to see, but Venice is all about wandering. Or, to put it a more appropriate way, getting lost.

La Serenissima, as it’s famously called, may be the only place on the planet where one won’t necessarily feel angst when adrift in a sea of twisting lanes and ubiquitous bridges. In fact, to get lost in Venice is to feel alive; so much so, finding one’s way might be the only disappointment Venice can (eventually) offer.

Then, you will depart in your private water taxi to your hotel.

Hotel Concordia

Hotel Concordia offers guests an enchanting blend of history and modern comfort in the heart of Venice. Just steps from the iconic St. Mark’s Basilica and St. Mark’s Square, this family-managed hotel provides an ideal base for exploring the city’s rich cultural tapestry. Nestled on the picturesque Calle Larga, lined with delightful restaurants and bars, the hotel boasts an impressive location score of 9.7, ensuring visitors are immersed in the vibrant local atmosphere.

Elegantly appointed, the 51 rooms reflect the charm of 18th-century Venice while incorporating contemporary amenities. Each room is uniquely decorated, offering a comfortable retreat with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and luxurious marble bathrooms. With options ranging from Classic to Suites featuring stunning views, guests will find a perfect sanctuary after a day of sightseeing in one of the world’s most captivating cities.

Experience & Activities

Guests at Hotel Concordia can indulge in a rich hot and cold buffet breakfast, setting a delightful tone for the day ahead. The variety of options ensures a satisfying start, whether one prefers a hearty meal or lighter fare. After a day spent exploring nearby attractions like the Doge’s Palace and Rialto Bridge, visitors can unwind at the cozy cocktail bar, perfect for relaxing with a drink and sharing stories of their adventures.

The hotel’s prime location allows for effortless exploration of Venice’s treasures. A leisurely stroll leads to the Grand Canal, where the beauty of the city unfolds. Guests can immerse themselves in the local culture, savoring the flavors of nearby restaurants and cafes, all within walking distance. Each experience promises to enhance the enchanting atmosphere of a stay at Hotel Concordia.

Classic Room

Our Classic Venetian rooms are preciously decorated in venetian style with artisan furniture from ’60, hand painted. With hardwood floors or carpet, the Classic rooms make you feel at home. Bathrooms are equipped with shower or bathtub, hairdryer, bathrobe, soft slippers. Many of them well furnished with Italian mosaic. Some of the Classic Venetian rooms are located on the main façade of the hotel and have view on the lively Calle Larga San Marco, others have a typical view on a small venetian calle.
