AST160 Route Dubrovnik to Split

Day 1 – Sunday – Dubrovnik -> Mljet bay (Anchor night)

This morning, after breakfast, you will take a coach transfer to the Old town and in the company of our licensed guide, you will have the opportunity to explore Dubrovnik, Pearl of the Adriatic, UNESCO’s World Heritage site since 1979.

After a guided city tour, a return coach transfer to the port of Gruž will be organized for you at the scheduled time. Upon returning to the port, we board the ship and leave Dubrovnik and head to the Island of Mljet, as a light lunch is served onboard.

We will anchor in a peaceful bay and enjoy the evening and night of swimming and relaxing. The crew introduction and welcome speech will take place before the welcome dinner. (B, L, WD)

Day 2 – Monday – Mljet -> Korčula

Morning departure and cruise towards the island of Mljet. Upon arrival, you will visit the National Park, well-known for its versatile eco-system and two salt lakes (“Veliko jezero”- Big Lake and “Malo jezero”- Small Lake), as well as for the Benedictine Monastery from the 12th century located on the St Mary’s Islet. After a relaxing stroll in the park and around its lakes, you’ll return to the boat where your lunch will be served.

We leave Pomena at the time of lunch and cruise to the Island of Korčula. The city of Korčula is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the Mediterranean, thought to be the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo.

After arriving in Korčula in the afternoon, you will join our guide for a walking tour of Korčula. After the walking tour, enjoy your free evening to try out some homemade food in one of many restaurants. Overnight in Korčula. (B, L)

 

Day 3 – Tuesday – Korčula -> Blue Cave -> Island of Vis (Anchor night)

In the morning, we set sail towards the island of Biševo and its famous Blue Cave. This mesmerizing natural attraction is breathtaking with its game of sunlight which creates a wonderful reflection from its white floor and bathes the cave in aquamarine light. The Blue Cave can only be approached by boat and sometimes it can happen that due to winds, waves, and currents, the access to the cave is not possible. We can only know about the sea conditions and the possibility of entrance on the exact same morning of the visit.

In the afternoon, we will anchor in the pristine waters of Vis, the most preserved island in the Adriatic, and enjoy another afternoon and evening of relaxation and swimming. In the evening, we dress in our best white outfit, and join the Captain for a dinner, followed by an evening of music, song and dance. (B, L, CD)

Day 4 – Wednesday – Vis -> Hvar

We leave Korčula in the morning and, following breakfast, a relaxing swim stop and lunch ensue, and then we continue our navigation towards the Island of Hvar.

Upon arrival in Hvar, join our guided city tour, find out about its rich history and beautiful architecture, and important landmarks like Cathedral of St. Stephen, the Theatre which is one of the oldest in Europe dating back from 1612, Spanish Fortress, and more. Later on, you can explore the town on your own and check what its nightlife has to offer. Overnight in Hvar. (B, L)

Day 5 – Thursday – Hvar -> Bol -> Makarska

In the morning, we leave Split and head to the island of Brač, to picturesque town of Bol which is famous for its Golden Cape, the 530 m long golden pebble beach, unique since it changes its shape and position depending on the winds and currents. You will have time to walk around this small town, have a coffee or simply to go swimming.

During the lunch, we continue sailing along the beautiful coast, towards the town of Makarska, the crown Jewel of Makarska Riviera. After a long swim stop, we arrive at the town, filled to the brim with nightlife and dinner options, as well as miles and miles of beautiful beaches, in the shade of the imposing Mount. Biokovo. Overnight in Makarska. (B, L)

Day 6 – Friday – Makarska -> Trogir

In the morning, we leave Vis and set sail towards our next stop, the city of Trogir, another UNESCO World Heritage site. After we arrive at our swim stop, we stay here until lunch, in view of the many small islands that make up the Trogir archipelago.

We arrive in Trogir in the afternoon. You will join our guide for a walking tour of Trogir, whose rich history influenced by many people (Greeks, Romans, Venetians) is visible on every single step of its beautiful, narrow, cobbled streets. You will admire the architecture of Trogir’s most imposing monument, the Cathedral of St. Lawrence, built in Romanesque-Gothic style. After the city tour, you will have free time to explore Trogir at your own pace. Overnight in Trogir. (B, L)

Day 7 – Saturday – Trogir -> Split

On the last day of our navigation, we set sail towards our last stop, the city of Split. While sailing towards Split, we will make a swim stop along the way. After lunch served on board, you will get the opportunity to stroll through the streets of this wonderful Mediterranean town in the company of our guide. Split is the second largest Croatian town, best known for its glorious palace of Roman Emperor Diocletian, which is inscribed on the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites since 1979.

After the city tour, you will have free time to explore the town at your own pace or have dinner in one of the numerous restaurants. Overnight in Split. (B, L)

Day 8 – Sunday – Split Disembarkation

After breakfast, it’s time to disembark. (B)
