It was another beautiful day here in India. We were on the road for four hours from Lucknow to Agra which offered us a closer look at the countryside. I caught glimpses of farmers taking care of their lands as we drove on a highway surrounded by rice fields. We arrived in Agra, home of the famous Taj Mahal, built in 22 years in honor of love. We hear the best season to visit is summer, and I tend to agree, as it’s not too crowded and not too hot. The Taj Mahal is built entirely of white marble and offers stunning optical effects. I had the chance to be escorted by a local official who explained all aspects of its incredible construction. Outside Taj Mahal, there is a little neighborhood that is also worth a visit. Take the time to walk around or enjoy a horse carriage ride to discover local life. At night, we enjoyed a dance-based show telling us the story of love which inspired the construction of the Taj Mahal: Mohabbat The Taj Show. We couldn’t recommend it more and it has made me think all men should build such a memorial for their beloved. Now, it’s finally party time again in one of the most famous clubs in Agra. Until next time!
